Balaenoptera physalus
Auf der Fahrt heute sind uns zwar die Fleckendelfine “durch die Lappen” gegangen, aber die beiden großen Finnwale konnten wir gut beobachten. Zuerst schwammen sie nach Westen und vor Ribeira Brava ging es dann aufs Meer hinaus Richtung Süden. Die hellere, weissliche rechte Vorderseite läßt sich auf den ersten beiden Fotos recht gut erkennen oder erahnen.

On our trip today we missed the altantic spotted dolphins but the 2 big fin whales we could observe very good and even close. First they were heading to the west, but in front of Ribeira Brava they began to swim to the south, always more into the ocean. On the first two photos you can see quiet good the clearer, whiter right side of their front part.
